With only a resistance band and light weights
Continuing to prioritize fitness, Frida Redknapp remains active regardless of her age and busy lifestyle. At 42, and mother of five kids, she regularly attends the gym to strengthen her muscles and enjoy a variety of physical exercises outside of it. She also skips rope and cycles to stay fit and healthy.
“Sometimes my routine changes but not my approach towards workouts. No matter whether it is morning or not, getting up from bed and doing some physical activity will do great for you! Movement will help you get rid of your worries and feel stronger than ever before,” Frida shared on social media.
Moreover, she encourages all people to keep workouts easy and affordable. Recently, the British actress posted a simple home workout aimed at developing her core muscles and glutes.
Frida Redknapp’s workout to strengthen the core and glutes

1. Banded marching glute bridges
Targeted areas: glutes, core
Starting from the bridge pose with your hips raised in the air, place a resistance band above your knees. With your hands either put behind your head or supporting you, lift one of your legs towards your body and bend it to a 90-degree angle. Stay in this position for a couple of seconds, release it, and repeat with the other leg.
2. Banded plank with alternating leg lifts
Targeted areas: core, glutes, shoulders
Performing a plank while having a resistance band between your ankles, raise one of your legs until it reaches hip height. Hold for a few seconds, then return back to the initial position and repeat with the other leg.
3. One-arm plank with leg sweep
Targeted areas: core, glutes, shoulders
While on all fours, grab two dumbbells. Holding one of them in one of your hands, extend your leg towards the floor on which you rest. Move it further back until your whole body forms one line, then go back to the starting position and repeat with the other hand.

4. Bear hold rotation and reach
Targeted areas: core, shoulders, glutes
Taking a dumbbell in each hand, get into a bear pose with your knees lifted slightly. Turning your shoulders to one side, raise an arm holding a dumbbell towards the ceiling, and rotate your shoulders in this pose. Going back to the initial position, turn in the opposite direction.
5. Banded V-sit leg abductions
Targeted areas: deep core, inner thighs
Sitting in a V-position, wrap a band around the lower part of your legs and take dumbbells in your hands. Contracting your abdominal muscles, move your legs apart, then return back.
6. Close-grip push-up with alternating knee drive
Targeted areas: triceps, chest, core, shoulders
In a push-up position, put your hands in a closer position compared to the standard one. Pushing your body upwards, drive your knee towards your shoulder, then return to the starting position and repeat.

7. Banded side-lying leg raise
Targeted areas: outer glutes, hip stabilizers
Lying on your side, rest your head on one hand and your elbow on the floor. Place a resistance band above your knees, then start raising and lowering one of them.
Frida’s weekly schedule
In March of this year, Frida told her followers about her weekly routine. “At the moment, I try to have two Lagree classes, two cardio ones (most likely boxing) and two strength training classes per week, as well as one day for resting,” Frida said.
