The Celebrity Workout Routines We’re Borrowing in 2026

There are plenty of things we’d love to borrow from celebrities. We’d take their regular blow-dry appointments, whether that’s twice or three times a week. We’d love to turn left when boarding a plane, or even better, step onto a private jet. Having a team of assistants to keep everything organized sounds great too. We might not want our private lives invaded, but with hair that is bouncy and a seat that turns into a bed, we’d probably get used to it and be just fine.

But there’s one thing we can easily copy from celebrities: their workout routines. The Kardashians share gym photos, Hailey Bieber is often seen at her favorite studio, Forma Pilates, and Tracee Ellis Ross supports her trainer, Tracy Anderson. It’s impressive how these stars actually stick to their fitness routines, consistently, sensibly, and often in public.

Yoga: Dua Lipa

We’ve witnessed her execute a headstand on a paddleboard out in the water off Ibiza, which is probably due to her dedication to yoga. Whether taking her yoga teacher on tour or making time for inversions, Lipa has made it known how important yoga is to her. Lipa took to Instagram in June to share what her yoga practice looks like at home, where there are three mats set out for sun salutations and shavasanas with instructor Francesca Dinardo.

In addition, Dinardo regularly breaks down poses on Instagram, giving mini-clinics on how to safely and successfully approach the poses. Occasionally, she also holds classes over Zoom, accessible through her website. It is a method that is very effective in increasing endurance, flexibility, and finding moments of calm in the midst of chaos.

Pilates: Hailey Bieber and Lori Harvey

Hailey and Lori are both known for their love of Pilates. They both go to Forma Pilates, a popular studio started by instructor Liana Levi. Her classes mix equipment and mat Pilates and are known for being tough, but she also offers helpful modifications for beginners and anyone who needs them.

Pilates is great for building deep core strength, from the pelvic floor up through the back. It helps improve posture, builds a stronger mind-muscle connection, and works the smaller muscles that support bigger movements. Since it’s low-impact and can be done almost anywhere with a mat, it’s a good habit to start in 2026. You can try Levi’s classes online or find another instructor you like, either in person or on YouTube.

The Sculpt Society: Dakota Johnson

As it happens, Dakota Johnson is actually just like us. When the pandemic hit, she realized she was going to have months without access to a gym, so she started searching for a home workout she could actually follow. A few clicks later, she came across The Sculpt Society, founded by fitness guru Megan Roup. The site combines dance, light weights, low-intensity cardio, and bodyweight exercises that range from five minutes to 45 minutes per session.

Before her Madame Web role, Johnson trained with Roup in-person sessions that included a combination of dance cardio and low-impact sculpting. When she started filming her role in Madame Web, Roup provided her a series of workouts that varied in length, allowing her to choose which one she could fit into her busy schedule on a given day. This approach is both refreshing and something that can definitely be applied.

Tracy Anderson Method: Gwyneth Paltrow and Tracee Ellis Ross

Looking for a surefire way to get a heated debate going? Just bring up Tracy Anderson, the teacher who inspires both fierce devotion and scorn, thanks in part to her $900-a-month studio pricing plan. Tracy’s signature approach has created a devoted fan base over the years, and her loyal followers include Tracee Ellis Ross and Gwyneth Paltrow. “It keeps me strong and long with a little jiggle,  just the way I like it,” Ross has said of the dance-based, low-impact exercise routine.

Paltrow has trained with Anderson for the last 19 years, referring to her relationship with him as nothing less than “a marriage.” In an Instagram post celebrating Anderson’s birthday in 2023, she wrote, “You have given me what every real marriage should – love, loyalty, and a way to grow (even when it’s painful and sweaty).”

As UK followers of Anderson’s technique are effectively banned from the scheme apart from in the ultra-upscale and exclusive-only Surrenne in Knightsbridge, the rest of us will simply have to look elsewhere. Happily, Anderson’s classes can now be accessed online. A monthly subscription to the digital studio of the Tracy Anderson Method costs $90 (£68).

Tennis  Catherine, Princess of Wales

But if gym classes or home workout routines do not interest us, we can always turn to sport. Taking a leaf out of the Princess of Wales’s book seems like a good starting point. A loyal supporter of Wimbledon for many years – or rather, a formal supporter of the All England Lawn Tennis Club – and someone who can always be found in the Royal Box, she is also no mean tennis player.

Admittedly, tennis is a good deal and less convenient than a sport we can unroll a mat for in our own backyard, but its virtues usually outweigh the extra work. This sport provides a cross-training fix of both aerobic and anaerobic activities, which do and don’t utilize oxygen, respectively. It also provides a good workout of muscular strength, which affects our whole body rather than a localized area.

Because tennis is a reactionary sport, it helps improve timing and reaction as well as coordination and cognitive function. Fitness doesn’t always have to resemble a class or a workout routine, and sometimes all we have to find is a game that we like well enough to stick with.
