For actress Ali Larter, who is celebrating her 50th birthday as the star of the film “Landman,” beauty is not just about looking a certain way but feeling good about who she is as a person.
In a luncheon held this month in Dallas, Texas, where she spoke about celebrating the opening of Canyon Ranch Austin, she said that the most beautiful person is the person they are at this very moment. She also said it is essential for people to be kind to themselves as they accept who they are at this time.
Karter emphasized that women, especially those in the entertainment business, are especially scrutinized for their looks. She shared it is crucial for women to be kinder to themselves as they try to accept who they are.

The actress noted that instead of trying to be ten or even twenty years younger than she currently is, her goal is to be the best version of herself at this time.
She recalled that it is not easy becoming who she is but encouraged women to strive hard to be the best version of themselves. Larter noted it is not easy being kind to oneself but said it is worth it as they get the strength they need from doing so.
Karter said as she is about to celebrate her milestone birthday, she is feeling quite excited about it as she is inspired by women who are older than she is but still looking their best.
Over the course of the years, Larter’s perception of health and wellness has shifted. From her early days as a model to her more recent work on the hit series “Landman,” the mother of two has learned to see health and wellness as a fundamental component of her life’s journey. She explained that holding oneself to a high standard of excellence begins with the care of one’s health.
Perhaps one of the greatest gifts that comes with aging, the star explained, has been the ability to be more kind to oneself, to let go of the more judgmental self-criticisms she once carried around.
In the world of nutrition, Larter has learned to see food as a source of power, as a source of health, without the fear of the negative consequences of food choices.
Earlier this year, Larter appeared as a guest on the popular podcast “Not Skinny But Not Fat,” in which she went into more detail regarding her fitness routine. She explained that strength training was a must, especially for women as they age, as the need to maintain muscle mass becomes more crucial over time.
Aside from the physical benefits of her routine, Larter explained that her fitness routine was a way to release the anxieties of the day, to clear her head before moving into the day with a clearer perspective.
Her day begins with celery juice and coffee before heading into a workout routine, whether it’s following the Peloton instructors or a more low-key routine, as she explained, “some days I do Peloton, some days I do nothing.”
While the routine isn’t an intense one, lasting anywhere from 30 to 20 minutes, the consistency of the routine has proven to be the most important component of the exercise itself. She explained, “I wake up an hour and a half before call time, so I can get a work out in.”
She shared that once she has exercised and sweated, she feels like she has accomplished something worthwhile in her life. This dedication to fitness, according to Larter, has been quite transformative, and she has never been more disciplined in her life than she is now.
When speaking to Fox News Digital in July, Larter went into further detail regarding her self-care routine and how it has helped her maintain the vibrant and carefree attitude she is known for in Hollywood. She noted that sweating, whether it is running or going to the steam room, is something that plays a big part in how she feels vibrant and alive.
However, she also said that the way she feels is greatly linked to the way she thinks and that happiness and relaxation are two things that are quite visible on the outside. She said that she does not like to deal with stress and does not like to look stressed out either.
Routine is something that keeps her grounded when the world around her is moving at such a fast pace and is quite demanding at times. Even on the busiest of days, she always manages to squeeze in a run, yoga, or some stretching exercises.

She also tries to eat well, drink plenty of water, and avoid alcohol as much as possible. However, she also jokingly said that balance is still something that is present in her life, perhaps referring to the fact that discipline does not always mean perfection.
Despite how confident and disciplined she is in her daily routine, Larter is still quite vulnerable at times, especially when it comes to filming the bikini scenes in the reality television series “Landman.”
She told People magazine that these moments have been quite challenging for her to deal with, despite how much of a professional she is in the industry and how well she knows that these scenes are quite necessary to the story and the film.
However, she said that these scenes are actually one of the parts of the job that she dislikes the most and that very few actresses actually enjoy the idea of wearing a bikini in front of the camera.
She admitted that it’s especially vulnerable when she’s wearing a swimsuit in front of a camera. Every time she’s required to step out in front of other people wearing a bathing suit, it’s difficult. However, she knows that the most interesting women are those who own their presence and that it’s part of playing Angela truthfully by embracing that confidence.
At the same time, she confessed that it’s not easy and that she must do some work within herself because before she’s required to film those scenes, she must work through her own insecurity and anxiety and push through it in order to show up and give it with conviction.
