Every Celeb Who Has Weighed in On Ozempic and Weight Loss Drugs

Oh, wait. Are we still talking about Ozempic? Yeah. Somehow, we are. It seems to come up every week. A story here. A controversy there. And another thing after that.

When this weight loss injectable thing first went viral, it was all about Ozempic, and then Mounjaro, Wegovy, and Rybelsus. It all moved pretty quickly. Whenever celebrities brought it up, it was generally either sort of a joke or just a quick denial. Laugh it off. No thanks. Changed my mind. Something like that. The attitude was almost as important as the message.

For example, Cloe Kardashian said it took all those years to work on her body, that she gets up at 6 a.m. five days a week and spends every day working on it. Essentially, we should all stop assuming that there’s a quick fix.

On the other hand, she did not specifically judge others for taking medication. This is what gets overlooked. Later, she says that she did not really care if others were going under the knife and taking Ozempic. Who cares, basically. Whether someone else wants to improve their self-image, she did not see what business she had in judging them. It was no big deal, no big moral issue. More of a shrug.

Amy Schumer handled it differently. It wasn’t so much in defense of hard work, as it was in honesty. She did admit that she is one of the few who has attempted Ozempic and wasn’t shy about how bad it was for her. Sick and unable to spend quality time with her child. This was the part that stood out. It wasn’t necessarily Ozempic that Amy Schumer took issue with, it was the hypocrisy.

So when she brought up losing 50 pounds this month, it’s not like it was a big reveal with some additional excitement to it. This was a matter-of-fact thing. The fact that it might have to do with Cushing Syndrome and endometriosis seemed to have very little relevance to her weight loss. In a deleted Instagram post, it’s written very simply: it’s actually plastic surgery and Mounjaro. There’s no sugarcoating involved.

Interestingly, Andy Cohen also revealed the same thing back in September. He talked about losing “a good chunk of weight” because he was micro-dosing the GLP-1. Just casually bringing it up.

But they aren’t the only ones either. More celebrities come to light each month. In August, Serena Williams spoke publicly about her own experience and said she had lost 31 pounds on a GLP-1. Amanda Bynes publicly shared her weight loss statistics as well on Instagram Stories in December, saying she had lost 28 pounds on the drug Ozempic.

Now, there are plenty of stars who have stopped pretending that they will not discuss the issue. More revelations are surfacing in the form of stories, admissions, and details, and still, people are reading them.

Whitney Leavitt

Long before Dancing With the Stars came on the scene, Whitney Leavitt has been talking about the use of semaglutide injections to get weight off. Years ago. This is the same stuff that is known either as Ozempic or as the brand name drug Wegovy. Not nearly as publicly known at the time.

“I have a secret sauce,” she said in a video on YouTube in January 2023. That is a direct quote. She described it a bit in a loose, non-medical sort of sense. It is killing the fat and she’s essentially urinating it out. At least, that’s what she thought it did.

Jonathan Van Ness

This was spoken about by Jonathan Van Ness in October 2025. Sort of casually, he said that he started taking this type of drug due to medical reasons, not because of a trend.

A TikTok video explains the experience in pretty straightforward fashion. Then, after dealing with his medical problem, he chose to undergo a colonoscopy. The reason was clear. Almost pugnacious. If nothing was wrong with him, he would turn to a GLP-1. Not for cosmetic reasons, if the truth be told. Simply because he no longer felt good in his own skin.

With the weight loss came other changes. Pilates classes at Solidcore, physical movement, strength appearing in places it never has before. Jonathan described how his body looked different from the way it had ever been. Specifically, he got abs. He felt good enough to remove his shirt often, which he related with a candidness that was almost shocking.

Although he lost around 70 pounds with the help of the medication, he was right back into what he has always wanted from his body.

Rosie O’Donnell

Rosie O'Donnell

She has been taking this drug since 2022. It wasn’t one of those situations where she made a big announcement. It was just one of those things, you know, as it came up. By May of 2025, it was noticeable enough, which made her post it, so people wouldn’t just be guessing how much weight she lost.

“Can’t believe this is me now,” she posted on Instagram. That was the quote. And the tags: mounjaro, weight loss, body dysmorphia. It was less of a boasting post and more of somebody trying to understand what they were looking at.

Meghan Trainor

The couple that pees together also pokes together. That’s the way the saying goes here. After having the first son named Riley in 2021, singer Meghan Trainor and her hubby, actor Daryl Sabara, embarked on the 75 Hard program. She revealed this on the Workin’ On It Podcast later on in April. They crushed it. You can hear the pride in her tone.

Then, things changed slightly. They began hearing it more, conversations with friends, with doctors too. Mounjaro. Ozempic. It just kept popping up. Not in some shocking capacity, just in conversation, as if everyone was aware of it.

They were going to give it a shot, but they kept it in moderation. The lowest dose necessary of Mounjaro, accompanied by exercise and balanced eating. Nothing out of the ordinary, at least in relation to how it was described. They do everything together. Always have. This was just another thing they did together. Another “we began on this path” experience.

Kendra Wilkinson

Kendra Wilkinson

Kendra Wilkinson, ex-Girls Next Door star, decided to opt for weight loss shots. Just once. She made this clear in her Instagram post in April 2025. “I started the weight loss shots.” This was quickly followed by, “Only did one. Never mind. Throwing away!!” There wasn’t any doubt about the finality of her intentions.

At least as far as penile implants were concerned, that was pretty much the end of the conversation. She didn’t seem interested enough to want to investigate any further. There were too many risks, she said. Too much hearsay close to home. Horror stories, was the way she phrased it. ER visits. Surgeries. Stuff like that gets a person’s attention and gets them to think quickly. A mom of two, she didn’t want to take any chances.

Nikki Glaser

Nikki Glaser

“I love it. I’m like, ‘Do it,’” she said on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. Nothing cautious there. “I have no judgment. If you want to do Ozempic, hell yeah, girl.” That was her tone. Not tepid, not toned down.

But she continued. She says she wants to make people more comfortable about confessing to using the product because the stigma associated with its usage has got to be BS. As if this anger is rooted in some bizarre way. Usually from skinny folks who want other folks to be fat. That, in her opinion, is where this stigma is rooted. Anger, not worry. You’re mad about them being thinner now because this is the only thing they have going on. You, on the other hand, are dynamic. You are interesting. You have a personality. And this makes them even angrier.

Brooks Nader

Brooks Nader

Going back to December 2024, Brooks Nader revealed she tried Ozempic at some point, although she did not continue. This was prior to when things became serious with Dancing With the Stars. This was when she had to stop, around when the competition began last fall.

“I took, like, a little bit of it when it first came out, and everybody was doing it,” she told Us Weekly. As casual as it gets. She said it made her feel very nausea-inducing, which wasn’t ideal. Of course, she did admit that it was a favorite. There was no attempt to deny that. However, once dance was involved, it simply wasn’t feasible.

“It messed with my energy levels,” she said. “I lost my motivation. Lost my strength. Working out became an effort. It became a choice. And I chose dance. The problem went away.

Bonnie Chapman

Bonnie Chapman

In November 2024, Bonnie Chapman also spoke about how she lost 58 pounds in about ten months. It certainly wasn’t something that took place over night. She said it came from a change in diet and the use of a weight loss drug called Tirzepatide. But when she spoke about it, there was this sense of pride in it, looking in the mirror and feeling as if she was happy about where she’d gotten to.

The journey to get there wasn’t easy, though. Before that, she’d used Ozempic, but that didn’t go well either. “I didn’t hold back,” she explained. “I hated it,” she stated bluntly. Even going to eat made her feel lousy, sick enough to be queasy most of the time. Sometimes she couldn’t eat at all. It simply wasn’t agreeing with her body no matter how hard she pushed past how she felt.
